It's the Little Things that Just Ruin a Day

There are people who seem incapable of confronting someone directly when they have a problem with the other person. This has happened to me enough that I think it's a widespread epidemic. If you have a problem with something I do, don't complain to someone above me, tell me. Tell me what I do that bugs you so I can fix it. I'm more than willing to hear you out just talk to me about it first. I can't stand it when someone goes around me to complain about me. Common decency says to tell the person in question directly. Seriously. I can't change if I don't know I should consider doing so. And what am I supposed to do when confronted by a person in authority later? What happens when it's maybe a character or behavior quirk or just a misunderstanding? Do I explain myself away or do I cast shadows on you as well? I don't want to be petty and do the latter, even if there are genuine issues there but again, I would talk to the person about them first. And what do I do if I hear about it from a third party that you complained about me? I can't really confront you because that would involve my source which is wrong. People are annoying, I guess that's the end result of this little rant. Just needed to be ranted. Stepping off the soap box now.
